About This Lesson
This class lays the groundwork for playing Mahjong: Learn the tiles, the card, and the setup you need before you can play. The three suits, the dragons, the winds, the flowers, and the jokers. What each piece means and how it’s used. An introduction to the NMJL card, how the colors and patterns work, and how to start recognizing hands. (You can purchase the NMJL card at the store) A simple system for organizing your tiles so patterns and possibilities become easier to spot. How the wall is built, who deals, and the rhythm of how a hand begins.
