A Scramble is a flexible, community-driven Mahjong ladder that allows players to connect, schedule games on their own time, and build meaningful local Mahj circles — without rigid league nights or pressure. It works best when it’s led by someone who already loves bringing people together around the table. How It Works Self-Scheduling: You use an online player portal to propose or accept matches with other local players. Location Freedom: You play wherever it is convenient—at home, a coffee shop, a wine bar, or a local club. No Minimums: There is no required number of games you must play each week, though seasonal leaderboards track top scores.Rules and ScoringMatch Format: Each match consists of four games, and whoever proposes the match typically brings the tile set and racks.Official Rules: Players generally follow National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules using the current year's card with no blank tiles. Leaderboard: Scores are submitted through the online portal, and a player's top scores each week count toward their overall ranking and seasonal prizes.
